35 Years of Ukraine’s Independence
Today Ukraine marks 35 years of Independence. For all of us, this is far more than a date on the calendar. It is the story of a long journey our country has travelled through trials and losses, hope and achievement, made possible by the daily work, resilience and faith of millions of people.
On this day, I would first and foremost like to thank our Defenders, thanks to whom Ukraine remains free. I am equally grateful to the volunteers, doctors, entrepreneurs, teachers and to everyone who works, supports others and continues to build the country’s future even in the most difficult of times.
Independence is not only the freedom to choose our own path. It is also a responsibility for the future of our country – to protect Ukraine, to help it grow, and to leave it to future generations stronger, freer and more successful.
I wish Ukraine peace, justice, recovery and a confident future. And I wish every Ukrainian family that their loved ones may be near, that those who are awaited will return home, and that the day will come as soon as possible when we can once again simply live, work, dream and build our country under a peaceful sky.
Happy Independence Day, Ukraine!
Yours sincerely,
Denys Kostrzhevskyi
